Knorr wanted to reach 20 million Gen Z viewers on World Eat For Good Day. The idea was bold. Fly 11 global content creators to Mexico, put them through a 45 minute physical challenge in the jungle, and end the day with a beach feast where insects were the main ingredient. The campaign was called Dare to Try, developed by creative agency Swamp. We handled the full local production in Mexico.
The results speak for themselves. 7.9 billion TikTok views. 87.1 million impressions. 1.36 million engagements. 99 pieces of authentic creator content. The campaign won a Cannes Lion and a Global Influencer Marketing Award.
Here is how we made it happen on the ground.

The brief
Swamp came to us with a clear vision. Eleven content creators from different countries would receive a bug origami invitation. They would eat it. Then they would fly to Mexico for a game show style experience. The challenges needed to feel real, land hard on camera, and drive a message about planet positive eating. The final scene was a communal dinner on the beach featuring insects as the hero ingredient.
Our job was to make all of this physically possible in remote locations along the Mexican coast.
What we provided
We ran a full production service. That included local production in Mexico, camera and lighting equipment, location scouting and sourcing, set construction, transportation, logistics, permits, on set security, medics on standby, props, and art department.
We also supported the client with the logistics of moving 11 international talents into the country and out to remote sites on schedule.
Where we filmed in Mexico
The shoot took place at private locations with direct beach access. These sites gave us the visual drama the campaign needed. They also came with real production challenges. No existing infrastructure. Limited road access. Everything had to be trucked in, built, and struck within tight windows.
The main challenge
Building broadcast quality sets in remote locations is hard. Doing it while coordinating international talent arrivals, client travel, and crew logistics is harder. That was the core problem to solve.
We had to move construction materials, camera and lighting gear, generators, catering, and the art department to sites that had none of these things nearby. At the same time, we ran a parallel operation to bring the 11 creators from multiple countries into Mexico and out to base camp on the right days.
You cannot fake this kind of coordination. You need local knowledge, direct supplier relationships, and a reliable local producer who has done it before.

Why Mexico is a great choice for international productions
Mexico offers real advantages for foreign brands and agencies. Here are the ones that mattered on Dare to Try.
ATA Carnet membership. Mexico is part of the ATA Carnet system. That means you can temporarily import professional equipment without paying duties, as long as the gear leaves the country again. This is a major cost saver for international productions bringing their own kit.
Drones are welcome. You can legally bring drones into Mexico and fly them for commercial shoots with the right permits. We handled those in advance so the aerial coverage of the jungle and beach scenes came together without delays.
Diverse locations in short travel radiuses. Jungle, beach, desert, colonial cities, and mountains all sit within a few hours of each other. That flexibility saves shoot days.
Deep local crew base. Mexican crews are trained on high end commercial, film, and content productions. You get skilled camera, grip, lighting, and art teams without importing them.
The catch is cost control regarding a local production in Mexico. Equipment rental and set construction get expensive fast if you do not know the market. You need an experienced local producer with a wide supplier network to keep the budget in check. Going in without one is where projects break.
